NACCIMA tasks FG on local production of agric equipment
Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has urged the Federal Government to formulate policies that will discourage reliance on agricultural machines and equipment from foreign countries and give incentives to local production of such equipment. NACCIMA President Iyalode Alaba Lawson Iyalode Alaba Lawson, National President of NACCIMA, who made the call at the just concluded 2-day NACCIMA-NIRSAL Agribusiness conference in Abuja, said the government should also promote local sourcing of raw materials for fertiliser production and accelerate the passage of the Fertilizer Quality Control Bill 2017.
