1st Uzomatik Food and Drinks Fiesta holds in Lagos

Isinguzo Uzoma, popularly known as Uzo Ododo Oba of Wazobia FM, has announced that the maiden edition of Uzomatik Food and Drinks Fiesta (UFDF), a one-day exhibition of sales of online/offline foods and beverages, food technology/security, among others, will hold in Lagos at Ndubuisi Kanu Park, Mobolaji Johnson Avenue, Alausa Ikeja on Saturday 2nd, December, 2017, beginning from 10am.

According to a statement by Uzoma, the Fiesta is designed to showcase the quality of Nigerian food varieties with opportunities in the local and international markets.

The event is also designed to project the diverse angles of the food industry by connecting various businesses involved in the production and sales of food related items to a cosmopolitan audience of food enthusiasts.

She explained that the event will not be all about food alone as there will be lots of music and comedy by the likes of African China, Jaywon, Lamboginny,  Dwana, Cornel and  Ratata as well as Igos, Babakhay, Mr Hyenana, MC I Go Do, I Am Short Family and many more.

UFDF will also feature eating and drinking competition, cultural performances, games, kiddies corner, fun rides, freebies, this event is getting place to gather all food and drink lovers at one place and to celebrate together.

7 FEPSAN members to produce 1m tonnes under Presidential Fertiliser Initiative

Seven active blending companies within the Fertiliser Producers and Suppliers Association of Nigeria (FEPSAN) have been revived and are among the 1st of five batches that would produce 1 million tonnes of fertiliser under the Presidential Fertiliser Initiative, Thomas Etuh, President of FEPSAN has said. Etuh who disclosed this while speaking on Presidential Fertiliser Initiative noted that most of the plants owned by FEPSAN members are being revived after being dormant for over a decade. Saudi investors identify Kwara as host for proposed Agric City

In a move that will further boost food security in Nigeria and contribute to the diversification agenda of the government, Zain Al-abdin Group, an investment company based in Saudi Arabia, has announced plans to set up a multi-purpose Agric City in Kwara State. Speaking to newsmen at the end of his visit to the Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed in Ilorin, Zain Al-Abdin Nafawi, Chairman of Zain Al-abdin Group said the city or settlement will comprise a cluster of farms specialising in cultivation, processing and export of rice, maize and vegetables.
