Over 100 exhibitors from 18 countries register for agrofood Nigeria 2017

Fairtrade, the German trade fair specialist organisation, has said more than 100 exhibitors from 18 countries have confirmed their participation at the agrofood Nigeria, making it a record participation.

The event which will take place from 28 to 30 March 2017 at the Landmark Centre in Lagos has attracted exhibitors from Austria, Benin, China, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Italy, Kenya, Netherlands, Nigeria, Poland, South Africa, Taiwan, Togo, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
agrofood Nigeria consists of the following exhibition topics: Agriculture, Process & Packaging, Food Ingredients, Food & Drinks and Foodservice Equipment.



“For the third year, the French agrofood association adepta leads a delegation of French companies to agrofood Nigeria”, said Aude Roelly, Area Sales Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, adepta.

“From farm to fork, companies specialized into equipment and know-how for agriculture, livestock, food processing and packaging offer their solutions to the Nigerian food industry. Highlight of the French Pavilion will once again be the live bakery, a great opportunity for Nigerian entrepreneurs to test the equipment and discuss their investment projects with specialists of the sector.”

For the first time Germany will host an official German Pavilion at agrofood Nigeria 2017 featuring 31 German technology leaders presenting their innovations on 510 square meters net exhibition space. The German Pavilion is presented by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry AUMA.

“Representatives from our VDMA Food Processing and Packaging Machinery Association and a Delegation of German member companies participated in the first two international agrofood & plastpack Nigeria trade shows” outlines Martina Claus, Head of Market Development Africa – VDMA  Food Processing & Packaging Machinery Association.

“In 2017 we will again present the strengths of German engineering in Lagos. For the first time an official German Pavilion will introduce the best know-how, services and latest technology for the production and packaging of food and beverages.”

agrofood Nigeria 2017 is supported by the Delegation of the European Union to Nigeria and ECOWAS, adepta, Advantage Austria, AHK-Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Nigeria, Business France, IOPN-Institute of Packaging Nigeria and the Nigerian-German Business Association.
