National Productivity Centre honours Olam Nigeria with merit award

National Productivity Centre has honoured Olam Nigeria with the National Productivity Order of Merit award (NPOM) for 2016.

Olam, a multinational at the forefront of local rice production, bagged the award for its role in bridging the gap in Nigeria’s rice production in 2016.

Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, presided over the award ceremony which took place at the Nicon Luxury Hotel in Abuja. Also in attendance was Dr Chris Ngige, Minister of Employment Labour and Productivity.



Olam Rice Farm in Rukubi, Nasarawa State, sits on 14,000 hectares equipped with a 105,000 metric tonnes capacity rice mill.
