Promosalons leads French delegation to Agrofood 2017

Promosalons Nigeria, official representative of Promosalons France in Nigeria and organizer of Nigerian business delegation to SPACE in conjunction with Bretagne Commerce International, a highly recognized Animal Production Trade Show  in Rennes, France has said 16 French companies will visit Nigeria on trade mission from Tuesday, 28th to Thursday, 30th March 2017.

The visiting companies, in conjunction with ADEPTA (French Association for the Development of International Trade in Agricultural and Food Processing Techniques), will be taking part in Agrofood 2017 Trade Exhibition taking place at the Landmark Convention Centre, Lagos.

Their presence at the fair, according to Promosalons Nigeria in a statement signed by Mr. Akin Akinbola,  Managing Director of Promosalons Nigeria, presents a great opportunity for Nigerian companies in agribusiness to secure business partnerships with the visiting French companies, as participants will be able to build relationships and contacts with a view to increasing their international trade.

“Visitors and Participants who visit the French Companies Exhibiting Stand will be afforded the rare opportunity of seeing live the step by step procedures in the latest innovations of baking and processing activities. There will also be free sampling of the delicious and freshly baked foods as visitors will able to have a taste of French Baked Delicacies, ‘Croissants’, varieties of breads and ‘Pâtisserie’”

Sectors that would be represented during the trade mission include Agriculture & Livestock, Food, Beverage & Packaging Technology and Food.

7 FEPSAN members to produce 1m tonnes under Presidential Fertiliser Initiative

Seven active blending companies within the Fertiliser Producers and Suppliers Association of Nigeria (FEPSAN) have been revived and are among the 1st of five batches that would produce 1 million tonnes of fertiliser under the Presidential Fertiliser Initiative, Thomas Etuh, President of FEPSAN has said. Etuh who disclosed this while speaking on Presidential Fertiliser Initiative noted that most of the plants owned by FEPSAN members are being revived after being dormant for over a decade. FG to build $20bn gas industrial park through PPP

As part of the effort to drastically diversify the economy and reduce imports, the Federal Government has said it will establish a gas industrial park valued at about $20 billion through a Public-Private Partnership model in the Niger Delta. The project which will be known as ‘Gas Revolution Industrial Park, (GRIP)’ would serve as a regional hub for all gas-based industries in the country. Vice President Oluyemi Osinbajo Mr. Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant to the Acting President on Media and Publicity, who disclosed this in a statement on Monday in Abuja said GRIP was conceived from the recent interaction between the government and stakeholders in the Niger Delta. The statement added that the 2,700 hectares GRIP has been designated as a tax free zone and will be host to fertilizer, methanol, petrochemicals and aluminium plants.
